Lot of Two (2) Swords: 1.) U.S. Navy M1917 Enlisted Cutlass, with leather scabbard. 24.5'' Bowie clip-point blade with ''U.S.N.'' stamped at ricasso, single narrow fuller, with light sharpening to edge. Age grayed finish overall on blade. Checkered wood grip panels riveted to tang. Steel cupped guard with light rust patina. Wood grip shows wear to black painted finish. Leather scabbard in good shape with some scuffs and scratches. Brass tip with staples, missing one staple. This was the last model of Navy Cutlass to be adopted. 2.) Spanish Artillery Officer's Sword. Black checkered wood grip panels with steel pommel and large steel cupped guard. Spanish eagle and cross etched into guard. Blade has a single wide fuller and is marked at ricasso ''Artilleria Toledo'' and numbered. Blued steel scabbard shows light rust and numerous scrapes and scratches. Blade is 35'' long, Overall length is 43''. Both are in fair condition overall. Est.: $300-$500/lot.
