Lot of Two Third Reich Dress Bayonets.
1) Third Reich era Fireman's dress Bayonet. The grip plates are the usual black checkered type, retained by steel rivets with dressed obverse heads. The scabbard is straight, with good paint marred only by some minor scuffs. Attached black leather frog which remains in very good condition. The 9 1/2' blade has good nickel plating and a wide fuller. It remains in excellent condition, marked "Solingen" on the reverse, and the original leather washer is in place. 2) Army NCO dress Bayonet. Blade is stamped P.D.L. (Paul D. Luneschloss) in engraved oval. Nickel plated "birds Head" pommel and crossguard, original red colored felt insert in the rifle slot , 9 1/2' blade, leather washer in place. Black paint on scabbard is about 805 with scuffs/wear, black leather frog is very good/intact. A green portepee with gold neck attached to frog, indicates a Jäger (light infantry) unit and the wearer's senior rank (Officer candidate or NCO). Blade is overall very good/bright with some scratches/scuffs.
