Limited Edition Smith & Wesson Model 14-5 ''Last Stand'' Double Action Revolver, #BFM9272, .38 Spec. cal., 8-3/8'' barrel, nickel finish, checkered case hardened target hammer, case hardened serrated trigger, factory checkered walnut grips with inlaid S&W medallions, red face Patridge front sight and adjustable rear sight. Right side of barrel is etched ''Last Stand'', with laser etched facsimile of the early 20th Century Frederic Remington illustration that was used in poster form to advertise S&Ws. Sideplate is additionally marked ''251 of 500''. In original two-piece metal-cornered S&W box with matching end label, owner's manual, other factory paperwork, cleaning accessories, speedloader, sight adjustment tool and S&W packing paper. Mfg'd in 1990 and offered as a subscription purchase with a gun for each month, this being the August edition firearm. Condition is fine with general light micro-scratching overall and moderate dragline; etched barrel and engraved frame remain clear. Grips are near excellent with sharp checkering. Hammer and trigger retain approx. 85%-90% case colors. Action is crisp, bore is bright. Est.: $600-$800. (Modern/PPT)
