M.K. Arms MK760 SMG 9mm SN: C0122
Fully-transferable select-fire open bolt submachine gun chambered in 9x19mm. Manufactured in Irvine, CA circa 1980’s. The MK760 is a clone of the Smith & Wesson 76, which was a copy of the Swedish K (M/45.) MK Arms started out making spare parts for the S&W 76 as production had ceased in 1974, and the police & military units that were using them had no source for them. After the need for parts became non-existent, MK Arms decided to put their inventory to good use and produce their own M-76 clone. They made approximately 1,500 select-fire MK-760s before May 19, 1986, accounting for some of the last fully-transferable machine guns allowed on the civilian market. Features a parkerized finish, 8" barrel with ventilated metal shroud, shrouded post front sight, fixed aperture rear sight, smooth trigger, ambidextrous three-position fire selector (safe, semi-auto & full-auto), unmarked 36 round stick magazine, cylindrical charging handle, tubular receiver, sling points, checkered aluminum pistol grip, and left-side-folding metal skeleton stock with rubber overmold. Machine gun retains approximately 94% of its original grey phosphate finish showing contact wear on the bolt & stock locking mechanism, scattered scuffs, and a bright drag line on the receiver from the fire selector. Action is mechanically sound in all three fire modes, the bore is excellent and the stocks are fine with some minor wear on the pistol grip & slight side-to-side play in the shoulder stock. Condition is NRA Very Good++ ***NFA Firearm*** ***Fully Transferable***
