M1889 US solar helmet for summer wear in khaki with longer bill. Cork based helmet and worn through the early 1900's for summer wear and scarce to find. **Some soiling in the upper ring but the stitching is tight, the leather inner sweat band is intact and great shape. There is one spot about 1.5" X 1.5" that has some inner damage to the cork wall. but hardly noticeable when displayed. Overall very good condition** $300-$500
