Cal. 7.63mm (30 Mauser). S# 269380. Bbl. 5 1/2" w/ Mauser legend over chamber. Mfg. near end (274,000) of prewar period w/ 6 groove rifling. Mauser legend on frame flat above right grip. Matching numbered parts including floorplate & 33 groove grips. Appropriate fire blued parts & 50-1000 rear sight. No visible import marks. Lightening grooves on receiver rails & crown U proofs. Proper New Safety ring hammer. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: exceptional matching # shoulder stock w/ traces of fire blue on components; light finish loss on stock iron & beginning patina tone to hinge. Especially good latching butt w/ nice fit. Matching leather holster w/ very good correct cleaning rod. Multi folded bring back paper listing from Sargent Vincent Bloomer to Mr. Joseph Bloomer. Approved by 2nd Lieutenant (appears to be) Howard E. Speen. Undated form has 12-45 preprinted along w/ No. 33A. Cal. listed as 38. Multi-folds conform to fit in front pouch of holster that usually carries stripper clips. Back of holster in oval has makers name of "STROSSBG/1916/TR??BRNE MENFRK". Holster assembly has some shine to lower portion & worn through leather corresponding to cleaning rod tip yet overall condition borders on astounding as does the matching stock. CONDITION: wonderful collector example in superb condition w/ minimal areas of high edge wear. Bright vivid fire blued components. Near excellent grips w/ only mild hand wear. Near excellent bore. Bright polished top of follower plus bolt face & firing pin end exhibiting minimal use. Marvelous collector example. Seldom seen matching # Rig from prewar period w/ bonus of capture paper.
