with HOLSTER. Cal. 9mm Luger. S# 3985y. Bbl. matching numbered 4" with serrated faced fin shaped sight; notched toggle at rear. Mfg. 1941 (126,000 units; S# 3300n-1000) with early marks and matching numbers on all metal parts to include rear toggle pivot; checkered walnut grips with large "29" on back of each. "P.08" on left flat of receiver plus 2 eagle 655 proofs and eagle party proof on receiver. "byf" on toggle and "41" over chamber. Correct salt blued finish throughout with no strawed parts nor in the white of interior. Differs from Black Widow model only by having wood grips rather than black plastic. MAGS: 2 very good extruded 8 rd. with aluminum bases, TOTAL; 1 with base numbered "9804 / 2" and "2/1001" on body plus 1 with base having number removed plus body marked "fxo", "P.08", and with 2 eagle 37 proofs. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: very good brown flap holster having buckle and strap retention. Back marked "KIMNACH U BRUNN", "KAISERSLAUTERN", "1940" and eagle party symbol over "WaA416"; front of flap neatly stamped "GORDON". Rear belt loop is well done replacement plus end of lift strap missing. Light scuffs on lower front of holster, cracking on retention strap and aged appearance to replacement belt loop; balance in very nice original condition. Front of good loading tool with eagle proof plus "G.G.G.K." on back. CONDITION: most noticeable are its exceptionally clear markings and sharp profiles that appears to be original finish; breech face indicates very minimal use. Well fitting grips with light hand wear being lightly proud at backstrap. Typical high point and holster wear with minimal thinning in grip area; occasion spots of very light cleaned pitting. Very good bore with light wear and hint of cleaned frosting. Very good example overall. (23-933/NW). CURIO. $1,250-1,750.
