Munroe Lake Lodge is one of Manitoba’s Premier Hunting and Fishing Lodges. They have donated a fly-in Central Canadian Barren Ground Caribou hunt for 1 hunter in the fall of 2027. Included in the hunt is 1 Caribou, wolf and ptarmigan hunting if encountered, Manitoba Caribou license and tag, bird license, 1x3 guide ratio and flights from Thompson, Manitoba to camp (float plane)
Not included is before and after hotel in Thompson, Manitoba and hunter is responsible FOR AIRFARE TO Thompson.
Caribou hunting takes place in the barren lands and on the shores, islands, and forests of Farnie Lake. We’re far south enough from the Arctic Circle that we don’t get perpetual daylight or darkness—there’s plenty of time to go hunting and plenty of time to rest up for the next day.
Our hunts will take you along rivers, streams, and ponds and through sparse stands of trees, as we use spot and stalk techniques to find and predict the movement of Caribou herds.
The hunting season varies slightly, but Manitoba Caribou hunts are generally allowed from until the last week of August to early October. This is peak rutting season—bulls’ antlers are at their peak around this time of year. You’ll be travelling on water and on land to find your quarry. To ensure the best possible experience for everyone involved, we hunt in groups of three—one guide and two hunters. Visit us, and experience one of the greatest Caribou hunts in Canada. A perfect week hunting for caribou at Munroe Lake Lodge begins with a scenic flight from Thompson to the Main Lodge, followed by a flight to Caribou Camp. Upon arrival, you'll be greeted by the friendly staff and settled into your comfortable accommodations, surrounded by the stunning wilderness of Manitoba, Canada.

Location: We’re located in Northern Manitoba, about 8 km (5 miles) south of the Nunavut border on the shores of Farnie Lake. This is one of the best places on the planet to hunt for Barren-ground Caribou. Almost no hunting has taken place here—it’s a secluded spot filled with incredible wildlife.
Facilities: There’s no rule that says you can’t be comfortable while caribou hunting. Our camp offers three delicious meals a day cooked with local fare (that we’ve fished and hunted ourselves). Warm beds, hot water, starlink wifi internet, rustic lodgings—what more could you need?
Experience: Our guides have been Caribou hunting for years, and we’ve helped hunters like you bag more Caribou than we can count. Hunting a bull Caribou is an experience you’ll never forget. We process the Caribou for you in our butchering tent, separating and tagging meat, rack, and cape.

1. Upgrading your hunt, while not required, is certainly appreciated by our donors. If you do not want to add another animal, consider bringing along a friend. This really helps out these outfitters and hunting companies that are trying to help us! With few exceptions, these donors are not wealthy philanthropists, but rather they donate to help wildlife, ensure the future of our sport, and generate new business for themselves. Please do what you can to help!
2. We do our best to solicit donated hunts only from competent outfitters. However, we do not guarantee the quality or success of any hunt purchased at this auction. All of this said, it is important to note that hunts purchased at our auction generally go very well, with both the donor and the buyer being well satisfied. Certain trips such as mountain hunts or spot and stalk hunts require a high level of physical fitness to maximize the opportunity for success. Other trips, such as game ranch hunts, are not physically demanding.
3. If you are unable to attend our live auction in person and wish to place bids for live auction items, you may submit a bid online by establishing an account and providing payment information through our third party online auction representative. To place an absentee bid online, you will need to provide in advance a pre-approved credit card.
