Katahdin’s Shadow is the State of Maine's premier guide service specializing in Black Bear, Moose, Turkey and Whitetail Deer hunts.
This is a Black Bear hunt for one (1) Hunter by bow or rifle.
Includes a full week (7 nights) lodging at a very comfortable camp, 3 hot meals daily, and a fully guided 6-day traditional hunt over bait for one (1) black bear.
The hunt is for 2026 or 2027, with mutually available dates.
In Maine, Bear Hunting over bait generally starts on the last Monday in August.
Included is skinning and quartering and freezing of your bear. Katahdin’s Shadow controls and sets bear baits on 130 square miles of timber leases. An extra bear can be taken by trap for $1,500.
Non-hunters welcome at $1,500.
