British military magazine fed bolt action service rifle chambered in .303 British, manufactured circa 1945. Features a matte black finish, 25.2" barrel with integral bayonet lugs, shrouded patridge front sight, stamped metal flip-up aperture rear sight graduated to 1,300 yards , two barrel bands, smooth trigger, detachable 10 round magazine, manual safety on the left side of the receiver, canvas sling, integral charge loading guide cuts in the receiver, grooved full-length wood handguard, smooth forend, straight grip shoulder stock and metal trapdoor buttplate with oiled. The left side of the butt socket is marked "M 1945/AQ/18148." The receiver is stamped with various military proofs and a faint model designation. The barrel shows nitro prrof marks and the forend & bolt are marked "E22490A." The stock is marked "SL/N/B/[broad arrow]/&/Y"on the underside of the wrist, "FR" on the right side of the butt and "PH' scratched into the left side of the butt. Rifle retains approximately 95% of it's matte black finish showing edge wear. Action is smooth, the two land bore is good with some light rust and the wood stocks are good with many blemishes.
