Long time, Chapter supporter, Alex Kalden, of Davis Point Lodge offers this six-day, guided hunt for Whitetail Deer in the Northern Interlake of Manitoba. This is a rifle hunt. The Northern Interlake area of Manitoba consists of mixed farmland and boreal forest, which makes and ideal habitat for the elusive, Canadian trophy Whitetail buck. This hunt will be conducted on over 5,000 acres of private land from enclosed, elevated and heated window blinds. Stands are situated overlooking large alfalfa fields, cut lines in forested areas, as well as densely treed areas along frequently traveled trails. Hunt will be flexible in approach to accommodate how you like to hunt and can vary the amount of time you want to spend in the field to your specific needs. As an added attraction, hunters are allowed one Timber Wolf and Coyote on their deer license at no additional charge, and your deer license remains valid. Davis Point Lodge has been in the outfitting business for a number of years and has a very positive reputation with past hunters! This hunt is scheduled for November 202020 but may be deferred to another year with the outfitter’s mutual consent. The hunt may be upgraded to include additional hunters ($3,000) or non-hunters ($1,200). Hunter is responsible for the cost of a hunting license (approximately $300). Accommodations during the hunt will be solid guesthouses. Hunt arrival and departure point for this hunt is St. Martin, Manitoba. Please see the website listed above for the policy on wounded animals.
