The Marlin Model 336 R.C. 'Marauder' is a rare and highly collectible lever-action carbine produced between 1963 and 1964. It features a distinctive 16.25-inch barrel (often measuring 15 5/8" to the receiver) and a straight-grip walnut stock,Total Production: Only 5,856 units were manufactured during its brief production run. Approximately 65% were chambered in .30-30 Winchester, while the remaining 35% were chambered in the rarer .35 Remington, making that approximately 2050 made. Manufactured 1964 (Y Prefix). Features a dovetailed blade/bead front sight, rear sight removed with steel insert in dovetail and a Lyman adjustable peep sight mounted on the left receiver. full length tube magazine, two barrel bands, lever safety, Factory hard rubber buttplate with white spacer, gold toned trigger, "JM" marked thumb extension installed on the hammer spur, receiver drilled/tapped for optics, "JM" marked barrel. Marlin "Bullseye" inletted in the buttstock. The bore is excellent/bright, strong rifling, lever-action is smooth, the wood is overall very good/sound with very minor scratches and a couple of very slight chips in the top of the forearm. The blue is about 96% with sight edge wear, some scattered minor scratches.
