Lever action rifle manufactured circa 1885. Features 28" octagon barrel, full length magazine tube, buckhorn sights, straight grip, curved steel buttplate. Bore is good to very good condition, bright with strong rifling. Metal surfaces show 80% coverage of a smooth brown color patina, mottled with gray on magazine tube, with scratches and dents, some light pitting in places, bare metal on sharp edges or where moving parts rub, scuffed area on top left side of receiver. Buttplate is smooth, mostly brown colored with some lighter colored areas. Most screw heads show some marring. Forend is good condition, with dents & scratches. Butt is good condition, dented & scratched, showing some staining where wood touches metal. Lever operates smoothly, sits a little loose when action is closed. Two line barrel address appears shallow, with bottom line appearing faint. Caliber marking is faint. Condition is NRA Very Good *** Antique Firearm ***
