Lever action rifle manufactured circa 1886. Features 28" octagon barrel, full length magazine tube, buckhorn sights, Lyman tang peep sight, straight grip, curved steel buttplate. Bore is good to very good condition. Metal surfaces are mostly turning brown, retaining some blued coloration on upper sides of receiver and rear sections of barrel, bare metal showing on sharp edges or where moving parts rub, scratches & small dents in many places. Buttplate is brownish gray color with some slight roughness from patina. Screw slots are mostly good. Forend is fair condition, dented and scratched, with a large impact to the right side resulting in a sharp dent with two parallel cracks. Butt is good condition, dented & scratched, showing a dark color that hides the wood's figure. Lever operates smoothly. Markings are readable with sharp lettering.
