Vintage Marlin model 39, 2nd series (1925-32) "Corporation" barrel address, no star on upper tang, bullseye inletted in bottom of the buttstock, along with a Mother of pearl double spear point symbol inletted on the bottom of the forearm. Nicely done. 'Takedown' lever action rimfire rifle features 24" octagon barrel, full length magazine tube, buckhorn sights with white bead front sight, curved grip & lever, checkered plastic Marlin buttplate, takedown screw on right side of receiver. Bore is excellent/bright. Barrel & magazine tube retain 90% blued finish with minor scuffs & scratches with scattered very light pin-prick pitting, possibly an old re-blue . Action is case colored, good condition, about 60% showing thinning on tang/lever. Bolt, hammer & trigger are blued with dark coloration, showing bare metal on sides of hammer from rubbing against receiver. Stock is overall very good condition with creases & dents, there is a small chip out of the heel, & buttplate. Buttplate is very good condition. Action operates smoothly. Markings are crisp/clear. Condition is NRA Good - C&R Firearm.
