Marlin Model 39A Article II NRA Centennial Commemorative Lever Action Rifle, #7180614, .22 S-L-LR cal., 24'' JM marked octagon barrel, blue finish, right side of receiver with a commemorative 1871-1971 ''The Right To Bear Arms'' medallion. Oil-finished pistol-grip walnut stock with brass buttplate and forend cap. Sights include a dovetailed blade front with brass bead and a semi-buckhorn rear sight. Limited to a production of 6,244 in 1971. Metal surfaces rate as excellent with approx. 98% original blue finish; factory lettering with crisp raised edges. Wood is very good with a nice even finish and color; forend and wrist with shallow impressions from handling; bottom edge of buttstock with scattered small dents and scratches. Brass shows normal mild toning. Excellent action and bore. Est.: $600-$900. (Modern)
