Mid-50's Marlin Model 39A Lever Action Rifle, #N11206, .22 S-L-LR cal., 24'' JM marked micro-groove barrel, blue finish, pistol-grip walnut stock and forend, buttstock with fluted comb and black composite Marlin buttplate with white spacer. Also featuring a brass bead front sight dovetailed into a ramped base, notched rear sight that is missing the elevator; top of receiver and left rear portion of barrel are factory drilled and tapped. Mfg'd 1956. Condition is very good. Receiver retains approx. 95% original blue finish with some toning at the upper tang and lever; barrel and magazine tube also retain a majority of their finish with mild thinning and general moderate toning, also with specks of oxidation mainly in the protected area between the barrel and magazine tube as well as the rear sight. Factory lettering is clear and defined. Wood with scattered small dings and scratches that are all normal signs of age and use; missing the Marlin ''bullseye'' at the bottom edge.
