No. 32 Standard 1875. Manufactured by J.M. Marlin in New Haven, Connecticut, from 1875 to 1887. Based on the serial number this revolver was made circa 1878-1880. Single action spur trigger revolver chambered in .32 RF Short caliber. (First variation). Smooth rosewood birds head grips. Top hinged 3" tip-up blued barrel with solid rib. Brass frame that was nickel-plated that has worn off with time and is now a dark mustard patina. the barrel rib is marked "No. 32 Standard 1875", left barrel in marked "J. M . MARLIN New-Haven CT. Pat. July 1 1873". The serial number is matched on the left grip frame under the grip, rear of the cylinder, barrel lug and is stamped on the inside of the left grip panel. The bore is bright with good rifling, some scattered light pitting, the action is sound, the grips are very good and the blue on the hammer & cylinder is about 40% with handling wear.
