Massive rams head ewer made in the 18th to 19th century in the Islamic fashion of the used in early 8th-9th century. Footed bowl with wide tapered bulbous body heavily engraved to all sides with Islamic script, mythological beasts, and panels of geometric or floral engraving. Pierced at the top opening with interlaced brass openwork and decorated with additional panels and eight pointed stars. Size 12" L x 12" W x 24" H, weight 8385g. Condition: As-is condition with patina throughout as shown.

By participating in this auction bidders agree that all lots are sold as is without any warrants or representations with respect to the lots. The auctioneer retains the right to reject any bid and to withdraw or pass any lot at his or her absolute discretion. When identical absentee bids are submitted the auctioneer will accept the first bid presented at his or her discretion. The highest bidder as determined by the auction house shall be responsible to pay for the hammer, buyer's premium and any applicable sales tax. Ownership of lots shall not be transitioned to the respective winning bidder until the auction house is satisfied with all funds being transferred and cleared to the auction house's account. All sales are final. Buyers have 10 days to arrange for removal of lots from the auction houses facility. After 10 days the auction house reserves the right to charge a $5 storage fee for each additional day until the lots have been removed. The auction house reserves the right to relist and sell any lots which have accrued a storage fee larger than the hammer plus buyer's premium total for a given lot. Shipping and safe delivery of the lots is the buyer's responsibility. The auction house reserves the right to update or remove any lot listed at the auction house's discretion.
