Sporterized military style bolt-action rifle chambered in 6.5 Remington Magnum. Originally manufactured in Germany by Mauser for contract with South American governments. Rifle features a gloss blued finish, receiver drilled and tapped for optic mounting with a single-piece Redfield mount installed, an approximately 25" tapered barrel with a recessed target crown, turned-down and swept back bolt with a knurled knob, smooth curved trigger, jeweled bolt body, jeweled bolt release on the left receiver rail, serrated flag type safety on the bolt shroud, and no provisions for iron sights. The hardwood furniture consists of a semi-pistol gripped Monte Carlo style shoulder stock with checkering at the wrist, a checkered forend with flat sides and a slightly rounded bottom, right-hand cheek piece, sling studs on the forend and the bottom of the shoulder stock, and a black ventilated Pachmayr rubber recoil pad with white and black spacers. A Redfield 2-7x scope with a post and crosshair reticle is mounted using 1" rings. "WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER-OBERNDORF A/N," and "MODELO 1909" is engraved in two lines on the left receiver rail. The blued finish retained is approximately 95% with scratches muzzle wear, and some web-like scratches on the barrel. There are some areas on the barrel where the finish is taking on a brown patina. Metal displays no deformation, but there are some very minor instances of pin-prick pitting on the barrel. The action functions, but the bolt is a little difficult to cycle rearward. The bore is bright with strong rifling. The scope's sight picture is bright with a slight yellowing. The furniture wood is in good condition with a few handling blemishes, and a crazing finish.
Condition is NRA Good.
