'42' WWII era German military toggle locked recoil operated semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9x19mm Luger, dated 1939. Features blued finish 4" barrel, dovetailed inverted 'V' front sight with witness-marks, 'v' notched rear sight, smooth crescent trigger, knurled charging knobs on the rear toggle link, manual safety of the left side of the frame, knurled push button magazine release, steel frame with lanyard loop & stock lug, and two-piece finely checkered wood grips. All observed serial numbers are matching with the exception of one of the magazines in the holster, the magazine in the pistol is matching. Correct waffenamts eagle/655(Mauser)and eagle/swastika proofs, the aluminum plugs on both magazines have waffenamt eagle/66. (Mauser) Bore is excellent/bright, strong rifling. Retains about 94% finish with some edge/holster wear. Trigger and safety are blued. Grips are very good/sound. Included holster is a black leather hard shell. full flap, take-down tool in pocket, back of holster is marked "Karl Bucker / Waldbrol / 1939", with waffenamt "eagle WaA721", very good, stitching and belt loops intact.
