Mauser S/42 1937 Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol with bml/41 Holster, #1370s, 9mm cal., 4" barrel, blue finish, straw colored small parts, checkered walnut grips, inverted-"V" front sight, fixed rear sight with small "V"-notched groove, stock lug, no grip safety, with one blued steel magazine with aluminum base; base has been ground and renumbered to match. Includes brown leather holster by Hans Romer, back is marked "bml/41" with "WaA788" Waffenamt, and small "P.08" in the upper right corner. Pistol is marked ''S/42'' on toggle link with ''1937'' date on top of chamber. Right side of receiver with two ''(eagle)63'' proofs and firing proof; same firing proof is faintly marked on right side of the barrel. Import marked on bottom of the barrel. Parts with visible numbers are matching, including the firing pin; grips are not numbered. Condition is fine, showing at least a partial refinish, likely when imported. Approx. 90% blue and straw colors remain, showing moderate wear to the high points and edges. There is no halo around the serial number on the barrel and proof mark on the right side is very faint, indicating it is likely refinished. Other factory lettering and proof marks are clear. Grips are excellent with sharp checkering. Action and hold open function properly. Bore is primarily bright but displays mild frosting scattered throughout; rifling rates very good and is well-defined. Magazine body has been refinished, showing only light wear; base has been ground and renumbered to match. Holster is original and in good condition, with general scuffs and scratches, stitching is complete. Est.: $1,000-$1,500. (C&R/PPT)
