Victor Rodriguez of Mangrove Fishing Lodge is offering a 3-day 4-night tarpon fishing trip for 2 anglers in the crystalline waters of the Campeche flats in Campeche México, on the Yucatan peninsula.
Fly fishing for Tarpon (aka the Silver/Mangrove King) is the ultimate thrill in these waters, and your guides have over 15 years of fishing expertise to put to practice. You can either bring your own fly-fishing equipment, or the captain can provide it. Conventional fishing, casting, and spinning are also fair game.
Tarpon is the ultimate target in the Campeche flats and backcountry, but the Jack Crevalle, Snook, and Mangrove Snapper bite is also exceptionally good. You will be casting your line in 1–15 feet of water, so even sight fishing is possible if the fishing conditions align.
Bear in mind that your guides promote catch-and-release of everything you hook, especially Tarpon.
The lodge is in the Peténes Biosphere, in the quiet Gulf of Mexico Here you will find all the comforts that every fishing lover could wish for, the Lodge consists of 6 cabins with air conditioning, private bathroom, swimming pool with Jacuzzi, pool table, restaurant and bar.
Included: 3 Days Guided Fishing, 4 nights’ accommodations in a double cabin, all food and nonalcoholic beverages prepared by our international chef, transportation service from the Campeche-lodge-airport and other ground transportation during the fishing trip.
Not Included: Fishing License, Accommodations before/after your trip at $80 per night.

The Fishing: Your day begins with an American breakfast and the departure time from the lodge to fishing is at 5:30 am arriving at your flat’s boats at 6 am, in time to start fishing in the crystalline waters of the Campeche flats at 6:15 am in search of the King Silver.
In the boat will be a box lunch, with enough water and ice to return to land at 2 pm and go to the lodge to enjoy national, regional, and international food. Later you can enjoy a game of billiards or maybe tie some flies for the next day’s fishing
When it comes to your fishing platforms, Capt. Victor has 3 boats that can sit up to 2 anglers each, so up to 6 people can fish from all 3 boats. These 18’ flats boats are perfect for fishing in the skinny waters, where you will be casting your line. Powered by a 40 HP Yamaha engine, the boats are fast and will take you to hidden fishing grounds in no time.

Online Live Auction Policy
All sales are final. There will be no exchanges or refunds on auctioned hunts, services and/or items, including fishing trips (hereinafter “hunts”).
All such auctioned hunts must be used within the timeframe specified on the donation. If no date range is specified, all such hunts must be used within one year of the date of purchase.
The purchaser (winning bidder) must contact the donor within thirty (30) days of the date of this purchase.
If the purchaser fails to contact the donor within thirty (30) days of the date of this purchase, the donor may consider the donation invalid.
It is the purchaser’s responsibility to contact the hunt and/or services donor immediately, make all necessary arrangements for dates, and submit the application for any necessary paperwork for licenses and/or permits.
Failure to make necessary arrangements may constitute forfeiture.
SCI-AK is not, and will not act as, a conduit or go-between between the purchaser and donor.
SCI-AK has made reasonable efforts to ensure the quality of donated hunts, items, and other services; however, SCI-AK does not guarantee the satisfaction of the donor or the purchaser.
All donors provided notice on the SCI-AK donation form, or other supporting documents they submitted to SCI-AK with their donation, specifics regarding the duration (in days) of the hunt/service and the available date range for completion of the hunt or service offered in the donation. They also addressed what lodging/accommodations are offered and what trophy fees are included with the donation. A copy of this donation form (and/or supporting documents) will be provided to the winning bidder if he/she requests the subject documents formally in writing to SCI-AK within 12 months of the auction date.
SCI-AK does not guarantee or warrant that a trophy animal or any animal will be taken during the period of the hunt. Locating or taking an animal of any trophy quality or otherwise is not a condition of acceptance by the purchaser for the purchased hunt.
A person who bids on behalf of another person or group is responsible for payment in its entirety.
Several bid items have undisclosed reserve amounts. The seller or its designee reserves the right to bid up to, but not over, the undisclosed reserve amount.
The goods and services offered in the auction are sold “as is”, including any faults or defects, and without any express or implied warranty on the part of SCI-AK or Safari Club International (SCI). SCI-AK and SCI make no warranties of fitness or merchantability.
The winning bidder acknowledges that SCI-AK and SCI cannot be responsible for, or liable for, any political unrest, epidemic or instability that may occur inside or outside the United States, nor can SCI-AK or SCI be accountable for any injuries or damages that may arise there from.
The winning bidder further acknowledges that his/her purchase is final and non-refundable under any and all circumstances.
SCI-AK reserves the right to add/withdraw any item from the auction line-up.
All donations will be used for efforts to protect our hunting heritage, wildlife conservation projects, and other core missions of SCI and SCI-AK, so please bid generously!
