First time donor, Safari Unlimited, invites you and an accompanying non-hunter, to the remote jungles of the southern Yucatan of Mexico! The successful bidder on this trip will begin their hunt on a Sunday scheduled between the end of March and Mid-May 2018 and will conclude on the following Saturday. Hunter will be transported from Campeche City, overland for approximately five hours, the last couple of hours by Jeep, deep into the jungles that border Guatemala, Belize and Mexico. This area is part of one of the largest bio-mass areas in the world, containing tropical forests ranging from high canopy to low brush. Over 400 species of birds call this area home. This area, rich in Mayan history was also a major producer of gum. In the late 30s and 40s (yes, the original Wrigley’s chewing gum came from here). Accommodations during this hunt will be a tent camp along a beautiful and cool, spring fed creek. Included with this hunt are delicious meals of the game harvested in camp along with local favorites, plenty of bottled water, and cold beer. Top quality shotguns (Benelli and Beretta) with good quality ammo are available for rent. This very remote camp is well staffed with a cook, waiter, guides and is powered by an evening generator, propane stoves, coolers and a fleet of rugged Jeep vehicles. One Ocellated Turkey is included with this item. Additional animals may be added according to the outfitter’s price list. A variety of jungle fowl, Brocket Deer, Puma, Agouti, Coatimundi, Jaguars, Ocelots, Tapir and American crocodiles inhabit this jungle area. Hunter is responsible for transportation to and from Campeche City, Mexico; overnight accommodations before and after the hunt in Campeche City (approximately $100 per night); license ($350); shotgun rental with ammo ($150) and tips to guide and staff (approximately $500).
