Mid Asian Ibex Hunt with Asian Mountain Outfitters
All items are new.
Take the adventure of a lifetime to Kyrgyzstan with Asian Mountain Outfitters. This hunt is conducted on horseback or on foot in high elevations. The outfitter describes the hunt as comparably to a British Columbia mountain goat hunt. This is typically a very difficult hunt and the hunters need to be experienced in mountain hunting and with long range shooting. Hunters have the option of shooting a second ibex ($5,500) or a Roe buck ($4,500), both of which would be on trophy fee, or this hunt can be upgraded to include both ibex and Marco Polo for $25,000. This ibex hunt includes 6-8 hunting days plus flights and travel, and it required a hunter to be fit; hunter will ride horses extensively in mountain conditions.

Typical ibex trophy sizes on this hunt ranges from 40 -50”. A 54” ibex was shot here in 2012 and only a small portion of the area was hunted. The most common hunt dates are September and October, but the season runs from August 15th thru February 28th, with no hunting between Dec.10th - Jan. 10th. Serious bidders are welcome to call or email Asian Mountain Outfitters to discuss this hunt opportunity, before bidding on this hunt. Hunt is to be taken in 2014/2015 season, but arrangements can be made to postpone hunt until 2015/2016 (for an extra cost and with approval from Asian Mountain Outfitters).

The hunter is responsible for the flight to and from Bishkek and lodging while in Bishkek. The license and trophy fee for one ibex is included. A non-hunting companion is welcome for $2,500 and, if hunt space is available for an additional hunter, on the same hunt date, for $8,750. Asian Mountain Outfitters has their own equipment (tents, stoves) and their Kyrgyzstan English speaking manager works with many different outfitters, in many different locations, who provide local guides, assistants, cooks, vehicles, horses, camps, food, and lodging. The best local guides typically do not speak English though. The ibex are plentiful and do not require a U.S. Cities Permit.

Bryan has conducted several seminars at hunting shows about equipment, shooting and what should be expected on such hunts. He has outfitted in Canada since 1999 and in Central Asia since 2002 and has personally been on over 24 successful Marco Polo/ibex hunts and is very knowledgeable regarding these types of extreme mountain hunt.
