Longtime supporter and friend of Montana SCI, Eric Albus has donated another incredible hunt to our chapter. This 5-day Trophy Mule Deer hunt for 1 hunter in the Powder River Breaks country in Southeast Montana is undoubtedly a premier auction item. If you are looking for a trophy mule deer hunt, Milk River Outfitters is the right place to go. In this vast and unspoiled country, it is not unusual to look over more than 20-25 bucks each day. You never know how big the buck is around the corner or over the top of the next ridge and, if you are patient, it is not unrealistic (but not guaranteed!) to expect to have a shot at a buck that scores 180+ inches or more. In 2018, one of Eric’s hunters tagged a whopper that scored nearly 200 inches! You will arrive the afternoon prior to the start of the hunt and begin hunting the next day on 250,000 acres of free ranging Montana ranches. Thanks to Eric’s generosity, 100% of the proceeds from this hunt will be split between Montana SCI and the Montana Outfitters and Guides Association (MOGA) Hunter-Angler Defense Fund. These MOGA dollars are used to fund legislative and political efforts to fight for the rights of non-residents to be able to hunt in the State of Montana. For over 19 years, Milk River Outfitters has been a premier outfitter in Montana. We want to thank Milk River Outfitters and Eric Albus for this remarkable donation.
