This 10-day 1:1 moose hunt will take you into north central BC from Prince George. Opatcho Lake Guide Outfitters’ 2,500 square mile territory has one of the highest moose populations in North America. It is filled with excellent moose habitat and proudly embraces a rich history of guiding and quality big game management. Outfitter Ken Watson has guided in this area for 26 years. You can make it a black bear combo hunt for the price of the extra tag ($202) and trophy fee ($1,000). The Watsons’ hunting methods include jet boat, drift boat, backpack and boot leather, depending on the hunter’s physical abilities, river levels and current conditions. Your day will begin with a nice hearty breakfast at camp, and come to a close with a glass of wine, a healthy, homemade dinner and your own private new cabin situated on the crystal clear waters of Opatcho Lake. Hot showers and a sauna are available at camp. Bring a hunting buddy for $6,900 US plus licences, tags, tax and Hunting Preservation Fund.

Unless otherwise specified, the outfitter will be responsible for the care of the preliminary trophy preparation, salting and transportation of trophies and meat to the departure point, at no additional cost. Departure point is noted in each donation profile. The successful auction bidder will be responsible for all transportation costs and crating for the departure point to their home or taxidermist. Licenses, tags and other fees are at the expense of the successful bidder. Upon receipt of certified funds, the outfitter will acquire licenses and tags prior to the hunt. In the hunt listings, you will see the from time to time the letters “TBA” which means “to be arranged” with the guide outfitter. Successful bidders will be required to sign an insurance liability waiver form prior to taking their hunt or other wilderness trip. Al trips must be taken within the time specified. Any changes are at the sole discretion of the guide outfitter making the donation. All trips are for one person unless otherwise specified.
