American made bolt-action repeating shotgun chambered for 3" .410 Gauge shotshells, and manufactured in New Haven, CT. The Model 183D-B improvements included a firing pin design change, and this model was produced from the late 1940's until 1953. Shotgun features a blued finish, a 24" tapered barrel (length includes screw-on choke), knurled screw-on choke measures 'Improved Modified' with a drop-in gauge, steel bead front sight, serrated curved trigger, turned-down and swept-back bolt handle with a collard knob, serrated manual safety lever at the rear of the receiver, blind two-round magazine, black polymer finger grooved trigger guard, and a cocking indicator at the rear of the bolt. The gloss hardwood furniture consists of a smooth semi-pistol gripped shoulder stock, smooth schnabel forend, and a serrated black plastic butt plate. The original blued finish retained is approximately 45% with general thinning, and minor handling blemishes. Metal displays no deformation, but there is oxidation on the screw-on choke and butt plate screws. The action is smooth and crisp, and the bore is smooth and shiny (little dirty). The furniture wood is in very good to excellent condition with minor scratches and dings.
Condition is NRA Good.
