American made pump-action shotgun chambered for 3" 12 Gauge shotshells, and manufactured in North Haven, CT. The Mossberg 500 was introduced in 1950, and is still produced today. This shotgun was likely produced in 2014, but this cannot be confirmed without contacting Mossberg. Shotgun features a matte black finish, aluminum receiver drilled & tapped for optic mounting, a ported 28" vent ribbed barrel, accepts choke tubes with an 'Improved Cylinder' choke installed, white bead front sight and a brass mid-bead, smooth curved gold-toned trigger, bolt release lever at the rear of the trigger guard, dual action bars, half-length magazine tube under barrel, knurled magazine tube cap, and a serrated sliding tang safety on the top of the receiver. The hardwood furniture consists of a semi-pistol gripped shoulder stock with checkering at the wrist, checkered and finger grooved slide handle, and a brown ventilated rubber recoil pad with a black spacer. The original matte black finish retained is approximately 96% with muzzle wear, and friction wear from the slide handle. Metal displays no deformation, or rust. Action is smooth and crisp, and the bore is smooth but dirty. The furniture wood is in very good condition with superficial handling marks, two small material transfers on the right side of the shoulder stock, and edge wear at the rear of the shoulder stock.
Condition is NRA Very Good to Excellent.
