Vintage American made single-shot bolt action rimfire rifle chambered for .22 Short, Long, or Long Rifle, and manufactured in New Haven, CT. These rifles were produced from 1949 until 1954, and are renowned for their accuracy. Rifle features a blued finish, an approximately 26" barrel, adjustable rear sporting sight, adjustable Mossberg S-130 rear peep sight, Mossberg S-101 front sight with multiple sight inserts, adjustable serrated curved trigger, plastic finger grooved trigger guard, full-length tube magazine, serrated rear receiver mounted manual safety, and turned down gavel style bolt handle. The hardwood furniture consists of a smooth semi-pistol gripped Monte Carlo style shoulder stock, smooth Schnabel forend, quick disconnect sling swivel mounts on the forend and buttstock, and a serrated black plastic butt plate. The original blued finish retained is approximately 92% with thinning on the top of the barrel, edge wear, light handling marks, and the finish is turning a dark mottled grey patina. Metal displays no deformation. There was a couple extremely small spots of rust on the barrel, and some rust observed on the rear QD sling mount. The action is smooth and crisp, but dry, and the bore is bright with strong rifling. The furniture wood is in good condition with handling marks and edge wear. The trigger guard sits high, slightly out of its groove.
Condition is NRA Good.
