NAGOYA TYPE 94 NAMBU SEMI AUTO PISTOL.

Cal. 8mm Nambu. S# 58240. Bbl. 3.8". Mfg. August 1944 (1935-1945) as secondary service pistol having late production squared back. Each border checkered hardwood grip has 1 1/2" x 3/8" metal panel having bright border & characters w/ black background being attached by copper tacks. Other characters on left side of trigger guard, by safety lever & right rear frame. MAGS: very good blued six shot mag. numbered "418”. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: very good brown pebble grained flap holster retained by brass stud through flap having grasping strap below stud for quick release. Above stud on flap exterior stamped “A6”. Double replacement belt loops on back retrained w/ rivets rather than original stitching; 1 aged dark brown, other appearing light brown. 2 mag. pouches under flap plus reinforcement leather band around muzzle area. CONDITION: good to very good overall appearance w/ rough war time finish having thinning & function wear. Safety lever very loose yet functions in appropriate positions; does not engage detents. Very good left grip; right similar w/ 2 or 3 damaged diamond tops in a row. Good bright bore w/ slight wear & even light frosting. PROVENANCE: Estate Collection of Jack Verret Sr. (22-871/NW).
