Pewter mounted hunter/skinner knife 10.5" overall, 6" blade with etched maker: "GOODELL'S STAR HUNTER, PAT. OCT. 6 1869". This knife & sheath from the Floyd Ritter collection & pictured on page 3 of John Baldwin's 1997 text "EARLY KNIVES & BEADED SCABBARDS OF THE AMERICAN FRONTIER".
