This high quality gun was made in 1979 & has 24" bbl. set consisting of O/U 20 Ga. bbls. & single rifle bbl. on right side. Bbls. fitted w/ solid matted top rib w/ flip up rear sight & provision for dovetail scope mounting. Unmatted portion of rib is engraved "KLEINGUNTHER - SEGUIN / TEXAS". Bottoms of bbls. stamped w/ Ferlach Nitro proofs & bottom shotgun bbl. engraved w/ actual maker's name "JOSEPH HAMBRUSCH - FERLACH". Coin finished O/U Blitz action fitted w/ ornamental sideplates (rifle/shotgun selector on left plate) & features automatic safety ("SAFE" inlaid gold), dbl. Kirsten locking system, bushed strikers & dbl. triggers (front set). Action engraved w/ near full coverage nicely cut shaded open scroll. Sideplates are deep relief engraved w/ scenes of quarry suitable for this combo w/ group of 4 pheasant on left plate & pair of pronghorn on right. Trigger plate is semi relief gold inlaid w/ original owner's monogram "JWH". Blued top lever & trigger guard engraved w/ matching scroll. Horn capped pistol grip buttstock of nicely streaked European walnut measures 14 1/4" over White Line rifle pad. Stock also features shadow line right hand cheekpiece, well cut closely spaced point pattern checkering at grip & sling loop on toeline. Matching 2 piece semi beavertail forend has Deeley release. MEASUREMENTS: BARRELS: bore diameter: O .622", U .625". Restriction: O .017" (Mod.), U .005" (IC). Min. Wall Thickness: O .020", U .007" (small area near sling eye). DAC: 1 1/2". DAH: 2 1/4". 0 cast. Gun is housed in fair quality green canvas case w/ green felt lining which contains set of RCBS 6x47 dies, copies of original paperwork from Kleingunthers including invoice, import info & price list. CONDITION: extra fine showing very little use since new w/ some minor handling & assembly marks on all metal surfaces w/ scattering of scratches in wood finish. Excellent bores. Mechanically fine.
