This is a unique opportunity to pursue a record-book pronghorn antelope. Generous season
dates allow hunters to travel across the state in search of a trophy animal. Nevada’s antelope
population was estimated at approximately 36,500 animals in 2025, representing an estimated
12% increase from 2024. Harvest data indicate that more than 20% of bucks harvested have
horn lengths exceeding 15 inches, and this metric has continued to increase in recent years.

During the 2025–2026 water year, Nevada received above-average precipitation across much
of the state, including several areas of prime pronghorn habitat. As a result, female body
condition and buck horn growth are expected to improve. Several hunt units have recently
produced exceptional bucks, particularly Units 031–035 and 051 in Humboldt County, as well as
Units 132–245 in eastern Nevada (White Pine County and surrounding areas).

Few tags offer this level of flexibility and trophy potential, making it one of the most exciting
pronghorn hunting opportunities available in the West. Be ready to have fun!
