NICE BELGIAN BROWNING MODEL A5  LIGHT TWELVE
SEMI-AUTOMATIC SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 GA, 2 3/4". S# G32749. Bbl. 27 1/2". Model A5 "Light Twelve" semi-automatic shotgun mfg. in Belgium and imported by Browning Arms Company in 1957. Left side of the bbl. is marked with Browning's importer information above the cal. designation and Belgian proofs, with "MADE IN BELGIUM" marked on the right. Sides of the receiver feature floral scroll engraving, with "Light Twelve" engraved above "BROWNING" and a diminutive portrait of John Moses Browning on the left. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bolt, which is polished in-the-white. Checkered wood rnd. knob buttstock, with checkered wood forend, featuring grasping grooves. Bbl. features a matte engraved rib, with an aluminum bead front sight. Receiver has been drilled and tapped with a Weaver 1" scope mount, that is fitted with a Redfield 2 1/2x scope. Bbl. is numbered "G680". CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some areas of light to mild wear (primarily at or along edges), as well as some scattered superficial handling marks overall. Mirror bore, exhibiting what appears to be a band of oxidation towards the breech. Wood furniture shows some scattered marks and minor impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. Scope retains a clear and sharp optic.
