National Arms Co. Spurtrigger Cartridge Revolver, #27822, .32 Teatfire cal., 3.25'' round barrel marked ''National Arms Co. Brooklyn, N.Y.'' in one line, plain round cylinder has ''D. Williamson's Patent June 5-May 17 1864'' in tiny letters on circumference, bronze (or brass) frame with hooked extractor mounted to right side, two-piece varnished dark walnut ''bird's head'' grips. Mfg'd ca. 1864-70. Originally finished with blued barrel and cylinder, silver-plated frame and case hardened hammer. Fine floral hand engraving covers much of the frame, butt, barrel lug and breech. Condition is very good retaining no original finish, with a gunmetal gray to steel parts and clear markings. Grips show wear and retain approx. 50% original varnish finish. Action is firm; bore appears clean with distinct rifling. Est.: $350-$500. (Antique)
