Navajo Nation Special Rocky Mountain Mule Deer Tag
The Navajo Nation Department of Fish and Wildlife has provided a Rocky Mountain mule deer tag. Tag is good on all units of Navajo Nation lands (Units 1-16), for 30 days (do not have to be consecutive) between September 1, 2019-January 31, 2020. 90% of the proceeds will go to the Navajo Nation Department of Fish and Wildlife enterprise account for habitat enhancement, big game management, wildlife law enforcement and the annual Navajo Youth Hunt. A licensed Navajo Nation guide is required and must accompany the hunter any time he is on Navajo Nation lands, including during scouting activities prior to the hunt. The Department of Fish and Wildlife is not responsible for arrangements made between a guide and a client, and the quality of guide services provided. Hunter must comply with all tribal regulations, including those concerning use of vehicles while hunting; consult donor for details. Hunter may not be accompanied, except by immediate family members. The successful bidder must submit a completed Navajo Nation Hunt Application in order for a permit to be issued, and hunter must be eligible to hunt on the Navajo Nation. The successful hunter must have their animal checked by NNDFW personnel to have harvest information collected. This item includes only one license; no hunting, guiding arrangements, etc. are included. Arrival/departure point is Albuquerque, New Mexico.
