The New Mexico Department of Game and Fish brings its Special Deer Permit to the 2016 Western Hunting & Conservation Expo. This is a highly sought-after tag. New Mexico’s Rio Arriba County has more mule deer in the Boone & Crockett record book than any county in the United States. The lucky hunter will have the opportunity to harvest a trophy-class buck in the game management unit of his or her choice using any legal weapon, regardless of the season. New Mexico has continued to manage its deer for both quality and trophy bucks. Proceeds from the permit sale will go to benefit deer in New Mexico.
