Nice Early Argentina Officer's Dress Sword, made in Germany. The 32-3/4'' bright nickel-plated blade is a quill back shape, with a maker's mark near the bottom of ''W.R. Kirschbaum, Solingen'' and a knight's head stamp. The original leather blade washer is present. The pierced guard has the outline of the Argentine crest. Handle is a black composition material with a finger and thumb rest, and grooves in the upper section. Pommel is nickel-plated steel. Scabbard is nickel-plated steel with one hanging ring. OAL is 39-3/4''. Condition is very good with the blade having a nice bright smooth finish with just a few light scuffs. Guard and pommel have a few very minor spots of light rust showing through the nickel plating, with some losses to the finish on the pommel. Grip is very nice with no cracks or chips. Scabbard shows some scattered rust coming through the nickel finish that may clean up better, and the normal scuffs and scratches from use. Est.: $250-$450.
