Donated to the Blood Origins auction by the Longoria-Hosmer Foundation, this striking original by acclaimed artist Nicholas Coleman supports an upcoming rhino conservation documentary co-funded by Longoria-Hosmer Foundation.
Nicholas Coleman’s work bridges past and present—evoking the spirit of early wilderness exploration while honoring the raw beauty and complexity of the natural world. Known for his muted tones, textured brushwork, and powerful compositions, Coleman captures not just scenes, but stories—rooted in tradition, conservation, and a deep respect for wild places.
Dusk: Black Rhino is a contemplative and commanding portrait of one of Africa’s most endangered species. It reflects both the artist’s reverence for wildlife and his belief in the power of art to inspire protection. This original oil on linen is more than a collector’s piece—it’s a call to stewardship.
Whether you’re a fine art collector, outdoorsman, or conservationist, this piece stands as both an aesthetic treasure and a symbol of the wild places we fight to protect.
Proceeds from this item benefit the rhino conservation documentary currently being co-funded by the Longoria-Hosmer Foundation. Your bid supports storytelling that defends species on the brink.
