Northern Ontario, Canada -- 1 Hunter for 5-Day Duck & Grouse Combo Hunt
KapRiver has donated a 5-day duck and grouse combo hunt for one hunter, hosted at their lodge in Kapuskasing, Ontario. Duck hunting is in large wild rice bays on the famous Kapriver, 1st staging area for birds coming off James Bay. Numerous lakes and rivers in this part of Northern Ontario also have plenty of wild rice, which attracts and holds large numbers of blacks and mallards plus other species such as widgeon, teal, pintail and woodies. There are also plenty of divers: ring-bill, lesser scaup, golden eye, etc. We also hunt local grain fields. The Kapuskasing area with its mixed forests of pine, birch and aspen are perfect cover for ruffed grouse as well as sharp tail and spruce grouse. Grouse hunts are conducted over pointing dogs. Hunt can be taken September 10 - November 10 in 2020 or 2021. Expect 7 to 10 flushes an hour on average. Includes: Lodging and meals (lodge has 7 bedrooms & 4 bathrooms; meals are hot breakfast, sack lunch & home-style dinner), 2x1 guide with retrievers and pointing dogs. Not Included: Hunting licenses, required firearm permit, government fees ($1390), before and after hunt expenses and gratuities. Closest airport is Timmins, Ontario (where clients can rent a pick-up or SUV; approximately 100 miles to lodge.) Airport pick up and return is available at $500. Groups up to 10 welcome and the winning bidder is encouraged to bring additional hunters along to enjoy and share this hunting experience. The cost per additional hunter is $2000 and non-hunter is $1000. Bear can be added for $500. Trip can be extended for $400 per day. This is a 100% donation.
