Cal. 12 Ga., 2 1/2". / 6.5x53R Dutch. S# 14078. Bbls. 26 3/4", fitted w/ fold over rear sight, silver bead front & claw scope bases on full length matted rib. Left side of top bbl. engraved "ANSON & DEELEY, BOCK" along w/ "SUHL". Right side engraved "Original Kerner" & "Emil Kerner & Sohn". Bbls. stamped w/ German Nitro proofs, rifle w/ 6.5x53 1/2. French gray single Kirston dbl. arch backed boxlock action features automatic safety, raised rib tumbler end cocking indicators & dbl. triggers (front set). Action engraved w/ nearly full coverage scrolling acanthus in shaded background, which outlines game scene on sides. 3 Ducks are on left, 2 flying away while 1 has been shot & is falling. Right side depicts peaceful setting of hind & calf. Bottom of action engraved "Original Kerner" "Anson & Deeley" "Bock". Capped pistol grip buttstock of lightly marbled European walnut appears to be newly made & measures 14 3/8" over basket weave horn buttplate. Stock features shadow line cheekpiece & point pattern checkering at grip. 1 Piece forend appears to be original is darker in color than buttstock & has Deeley release. Gun is accompanied by original Zeiss Zielviermi scope w/ 3 post reticle in soldered on claw rings, rear w/ windage. Left side of scope is marked "GEWEHRWAFABRIKEN EMIL KERNER & SOHN SUHL I. THRG". MEASUREMENTS: BARRELS: bore diameter: over .721". Restriction: over .040" (Full). Min. Wall Thickness: over: .033". STOCKS: LOP: 14 3/8". DAC: approx. 1 3/4"-. DAH: approx. 2 1/2". UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 1 full box & another box w/ 8 rds. & 10 brass of 6.5x53R Dutch by the Old Western Scronger made from .303 British brass. CONDITION: bbl. retaining most of a old reblack. Action is nearly all pewter gray. Newer buttstock retains most of its finish. Forend refinished. Shotgun bore is fine, shiny w/ 1 or 2 light dents. Rifle bore is also fine w/ shiny strong rifling. Scope retains most of its original blue. Optically intact, but shows considerable trauma from denting & bending. Action is tight. Set trigger works. (21-2534/MGM). CURIO. $1,000-1,500.
