PISTOL. Cal. 7.65mm (32 ACP). S# 981142. Bbl. 3 7/8". Mfg. approx. 1937 w/ prewar crown N proofs & matching numbered on exterior of slide. Checkered black hard rubber Walther banner grips. MAGS: 2 generally very good 8 rd. w/ Walther banner at bottom of left side & unheard of matching numbers at base of spines plus additional numbers of “1” (finger extension base) & “2” (flat base plus plum hued follower). UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: certificate of authenticity by author of “SS Walther PP/PPK Identification & Documents” confirms issued to SS; only 26 known issued pistols. Original wood grained pasteboard box w/ Walther banner, PP & image of pistol embossed on lid. Very good condition for age, but typical edge scuffs & wear along w/ one broken corner on base portion. Underside of lid inked in corner w/ 2 lower case "a"s, each w/ sm. “o” over them followed by a colon, then a “t”, ending w/ an “!”. Interior of box compartmentalized w/ sm. wooden block containing 3 nickel plated dummy cartridges; 1 Gevelot & 2 SFM. Aluminum tin showing Walther factory on lid at Zella Mehlis. Interior has wood stoppered oil bottle & yellow cleaning rag. Includes blued Walther cleaning rod. Original manual sealed in unoriginal plastic wrap. Presented condition appears good w/ some wear on the outer cover but retaining very good colors & image of PPK. Labeled for PP & PPK. CONDITION: very good overall appearance w/ high point wear commemorate w/ holstering. Occasional spots of peppery oxidation most noticeable on left flat of slide & grip straps. Cleaned oxidation spot at midpoint of trigger guard exterior. Plum hued trigger w/ light function wear at top of left side. Very good to near excellent grips w/ occasional faint marks. Generally good bore w/ scattered areas of light cleaned pitting. Exceptional package w/ all accessories & documented SS history. (20-1690/NW). CURIO. $4,500-6,500.
