Original WW2 Japanese Silk Yosegaki Hinomaru "Good Luck Flag" from the 1940s in a Glass and Wood Frame that measures 55" Long x 41" Wide.  A "yosegaki Himomaru' translates as a "Good Luck Flag" or "Inscribed Hinomaru", is a traditional Silk Japanese flag given to servicemen before deployment. It was given particularly during the military campaigns of the Empire of Japan during World War II. This national flag was a traditional gift signed with short messages from friends, families, and loved ones wishing the soldier victory, safety, and good luck. This Hinomaru is special because the dialect written is so old, it is not used in current day Japan. There are numerous books describing Hinomaru as souvenirs taken home by U.S. Marines and members of the U.S. Army Infantry. COLLECTIBLE WORLD WAR 2 MEMORABILIA
