Over/Under Combination Gun by D. Coon, Ithaca, NY, for Display Only, NVSN, .42'' rifled bore over .69'' smoothbore, 34-1/2'' laminated barrels with dovetail small notch rear sight and brass front blade sight; ramrod pipes on both side ribs with brass handled, wood ramrods inserted; locks are marked ''BELL/LONDON'', hammers have half-cock notches; stock has a brass triggerguard with hand stop, brass crescent buttplate and brass patchbox on right side of stock with German silver silhouette scene of a hunter and dog on left side; weight of the gun is 11-3/4 lbs. D. Coon was a member of a gunsmithing family registered as ''Levi Coon & Sons'' in Ithaca, New York beginning in the 1850's. Condition of the gun is for display and non-firing purposes only. Barrels are wobbling and separating from the frame, both triggers are loose in the locks, left hammer is chipped, and the right hammer is a rough replacement. Barrel have accumulated brown corrosion and bores are oxidized dark brown. Stock has shrinkage and is also separating from the frame. Est.: $300-$500. (Antique)
