Pedro Arrizabalaga is known as a maker of best quality guns only & is considered to be the top Spanish gun maker. This fine gun w/ 28" well struck chopper lump bbls. fitted w/ narrow swamped game rib are engraved w/ his name & Eibar address on top right. Engine turned bbl. flats are stamped w/ Spanish nitro proofs for 16 Ga., 2 3/4" chambers. Importers information (High Grade Imports) is neatly engraved on bottom of right bbl. Bbls. are fitted w/ H&H type self opening assist spring assembly. Case hardened sidelock action features automatic safety (“SAFE” inlaid in gold), bushed strikers, gold band tumbler end cocking indicators, H&H type hand detachable locks, & dbl. triggers (front articulated). Action is engraved w/ H&H type “English Scroll” w/ near full coverage very well cut lg. shaded scroll surrounding maker’s name in arched device on each lockplate. Maker’s name over “Eibar” is on bottom of action. Single beaded trigger guard w/ open scroll on bow & has S# in gold on tang. Well marbled, stump figured European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14 1/2" over checkered wood butt. Stock is classically styled w/ drop points & closely spaced point pattern checkering w/ mullered borders at grip. Matching splinter ejector forend has Anson release. Metal parts retaining nearly all of their fine factory finishes w/ just a hint of silvering on sharpest edges of action. There are a few scattered very light marks in wood finish. Checkering shows very little wear, still light in color. Bright, shiny bores. Mechanically crisp. Ejectors are in time. Case is very fine w/ only a few minor marks on exterior.
