The Rifle, .303 Pattern 1914 (or P14) was a British service rifle of the First World
War period, principally manufactured under contract by companies in the United
States. It was a bolt-action weapon with an integral 5-round magazine.
It served as a sniper rifle and as second-line and reserve issue, until declared
obsolete in 1947.
The Pattern 1914 Enfield was the successor to the Pattern 1913 Enfield
experimental rifle and the predecessor of the U.S. Rifle M1917 Enfield.

This is a sporterized version of the ful wood Military configuration.

Barrel is 26" with a fair to near good bore with light pitting throughout.
Metal surfaces are an arsenal blue and retain about 30% coverage.
Serial numbers on the receiver, barrel and rear sight match - bolt does not
Stock has been cut down and refinished.
The sling swivels are inplace and an orginal style MIlitary sling is mounted.
The brass disc has been reatined on right butt side stock
Rifle retains the original military front and rear sights.
Butt pad has been replaced with rubber Pachmayr which is still soft.
