MARKINGS. Cal. 44. S# 112821 / 103155. Both standard configuration w/ 8" bbls marked "ADDRESS "SAMl COLT" "NEW YORK - AMERICA"; No. 112821 w/ inspector's mark "H" on left side, "F" on right; No. 103155 w/ "C" on right side. Frames marked "Colt's Patent" and are of 3 screw type w/ cuts for stock mounting. Both are not inspector marked. Cyls. w/ naval scenes & matching S# for each gun. No. 821 is inspector marked "G", "F" & "H". No. 155 stamped "G" & "C". Brass front straps stamped "D" behind trigger guards on both revolvers. "D" is also stamped at top of steel backframes behind hammers. One piece wooden grips have faint inspector marks on sides. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: pistols are housed in a new walnut box containing reproduction flask, bullet mold & combination tool along w/ about 30 lead balls. CONDITION: both pistols are in nearly identical condition w/ all iron parts exhibiting gray/brown patina over scattered pitting & many marks. Cyl. scenes are thin. Grips show considerable wear & possible refinish. All numbers match except for wedge of gun no. 155. Bores are good w/ light pitting. Safety pins are perished on no. 821, partially present on no. 155. Both mechanically good. (01-20936). ANTIQUE. $3,250-4,000.
