1830. Cal. 45 rifled bl. Bbl. 37" full oct. signed "H.H.". Rifle has a percussion lock marked "ELWELL" & dbl. set triggers. The 4 piece brass patchbox is typical of Hunsicker's style. Henry Hunsicker started his gunsmith career in Macungie, Lehigh County then moving up to northwestern Lehigh County along the Blue Mountains where he stayed a few years then again moving up to Union County in the Susquehanna school.
