ARSENAL 1903 BOLT ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. S# 386796. "RA-P" Stamp on left side of stock indicated post WWII rebuild. Springfield Arsenal "3-33" dated 26" bbl. Band mounted blade front sight & 2700 yd. ladder ladder rear sight. Rock Island Arsenal receiver mfg. post WWI. Remington bolt assembly; bolt handle marked "42 BF". Parkerized finish. Milled floorplate & trigger guard. Walnut stock set w/ checkered trap buttplate & black leather military sling. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: cleaning kit in plastic container stored in buttstock compartment. Springfield M1905 bayonet shorted to M1 configuration w/ 1909 date & "373806" on ricasso & "457060" on crossguard. Good sharpened bayonet condition. Fair conditioned M7 scabbard. CONDITION: Very good overall as arsenal refinished w/ only light wear & handling marks. Stock has a crack extending from buttplate. Fair plus appearing sling w/ flexing, cracking & verdigris on brass parts. Very good bore. PROVENANCE: from the estate collections of Charles P. Obremski. (22-1249/MD). CURIO. $350-550.
